Michael Link
Michael Link represents and counsels clients in a broad range of employment and labor law matters. Michael has significant experience conducting independent investigations, engaging in alternative dispute resolution, and defending employers in actions before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels involving the following claims:
- Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
- Whistleblower
- Employee discipline and discharge
- Leaves and accommodations
- Noncompetition and trade secrets
- Unfair labor practices
- Collective bargaining agreement grievances
Michael also routinely advises and defends employers in matters related to multiemployer pension plans, including audits, deficient contribution claims, and withdrawal liability disputes under ERISA and related laws.
Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and his B.A. from Concordia College, Moorhead. During law school, Michael was a member of the University of Wisconsin Law School Moot Court Team. Following law school, Michael served a clerkship with Chief Judge Kurt Marben of the Ninth Judicial District of Minnesota.
Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Michael was counsel at an international employment and labor law firm.
