Firm Event

The GPM Corporate and Business Groups cordially invite you to attend a presentation by Andrew Fastow, former chief financial officer of Enron, as he focuses on the distinction between legal and ethical decisions in the gray area of laws and regulations, and includes his insights on the increasing prevalence of those same practices among major corporate accounting departments today. Between 1998 and 2001, Andrew Fastow played a key role in the fraudulent accounting practices that ultimately led to the company’s bankruptcy and the prosecution of its executive leadership. After serving a six-year prison sentence for related fraud charges, Fastow will provide an eye-opening, first-hand account of one of the 21st century’s largest cases of corporate accounting fraud that led to his criminal conviction. CLE and CPE will be applied for.
