Jodi M. Schmidt
As Chief Human Resource Officer for Lathrop GPM, Jodi Schmidt is responsible for leading the people, programs, and practices pertaining to employee relations throughout the firm. That includes ensuring the firm is maximizing the potential of its people by overseeing talent acquisition; training and development programs; employee payroll and benefits; policy development and implementation; and employee compensation systems. As a member of the senior administrative team, Jodi provides vision and leadership for a unified team of human resource professionals and the overall alignment of human resource services and programs with the firm’s strategic direction.
Jodi joined the firm as Human Resource Administrator in 1995 and since then has been instrumental in developing new and award-winning initiatives that cultivate community. For example, she helped foster the firm’s culture of diversity and inclusion, including through the development of a committee, affinity groups and educational programs for employees. Jodi has also helped lead the firm’s commitment to becoming a great place to work. Jodi is known for being solutions-focused and collaborative to resolve complex issues on a wide range of matters, while maintaining a positive attitude and managing relationships with a diverse range of employees.
Prior to joining the firm, Jodi spent eight years as the Director of Clerical Services for an employment agency, where she recruited and placed hundreds of employees for Fortune 500 companies.
Jodi is an active leader and member of the national and local chapters of the Association of Legal Administrators, where she has served on many boards and committees.
