Jay Harrington

Jay Harrington is an associate supporting clients primarily within the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group. Jay joined the firm after working as a summer associate in 2022 and 2021, where he conducted legal research and drafted motions for multimillion dollar cases involving contract disputes, shareholder litigation, and prisoner rights protections.

Jay earned his J.D. at the Washington University School of Law, where he honed his legal research and writing skills as the Notes Editor of the Jurisprudence Review. While in law school, he also served as the President of the Labor & Employment Law Society, and as Vice President of the Christian Legal Fellowship. As a third-year law student, Jay served as a legal extern in the Office of General Counsel at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, conducting legal research on EEOC, MSPB, and FMLA cases to assist in active Department cases. During this same year, Jay clerked as an extern for Administrative Judge Amy Weinhaus of the EEOC's St. Louis office, discussing cases and drafting opinions for Judge Weinhaus.

Jay is passionate about connecting with others and helping business owners succeed on their terms. Between undergrad and law school, Jay worked as an account executive at popular online review platform, where he worked directly with business owners to help them leverage the platform's advertising services to win new business. He also acted as the University of Arkansas' 'Boss Hog,' a member of the Razorbacks' family of uniformed mascots.

Jay is an avid player and spectator of both soccer and hockey, and enjoys spending his free time participating in community service. He currently serves as a volunteer head coach of a U-13 Boys' Soccer Club, Global FC, which provides soccer and mentoring opportunities to immigrant and refugee youth in Kansas City.
