Brad P. Johnson

Brad Johnson is an associate in the firm's Kansas City office who focuses his practice on litigation and dispute resolution. Brad has experience drafting filings necessary for all stages of civil litigation (in construction disputes as well as in other areas of the law) including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, summary judgment filings, jury instructions, voir dire questions, trial briefs, and a petition to confirm an arbitration award. He also possesses experience in conducting and defending depositions, presenting arguments during motion hearings, and skillfully examining witnesses (both through cross-examination and direct examination) within the context of two arbitration cases involving construction disputes. Brad has also drafted countless contracts for clients in the construction industry, both from scratch and using standard form contracts and client templates.

Brad worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Missouri where he drafted bench memos on various bankruptcy issues, prepared docket briefings and contributed to an opinion. He also has experience working for the Missouri Attorney General's office, composing legal policy proposals on the opioid epidemic, human trafficking and foster care.
