Gray Plant Mooty Hires New Associates

MINNEAPOLIS (September 13, 2017) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce the hiring of six new associates in the firm’s Minneapolis and St. Cloud offices. All six associates are alumni of the firm’s summer associates program.

Richard Bennett joins the firm’s Corporate and Business Practice Group. Richard graduated magna cum laude from the University of St. Thomas Law School and previously served as a clerk for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in the White Collar Crime Division. He will practice out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

James Thomson joins the firm’s Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning Practice Group. Jim graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Susan Richard Nelson of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He will practice out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Olivia Garber joins the firm’s Litigation and Franchise Practice Groups. Olivia graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to working at Gray Plant Mooty, Olivia was a student attorney for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where she chaired immigration removal proceedings and drafted briefs to the Board of Immigration Appeals. She will practice out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Amanda McAllister joins the firm’s Intellectual Property, Technology & Privacy Practice Group. Amanda graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, Amanda volunteered with the Asylum Law Project, the Native American Services Project, and the International Refugee Assistance Project to provide pro bono legal services to clients around the globe. She will practice out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Amy Erickson joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Amy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to joining Gray Plant Mooty, Amy was a law clerk and certified student attorney at the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office in the Child Support Section. She will practice out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Edward Fleming joins the firm’s Corporate and Business Practice Group. Teddy graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, Teddy was a staffer and managing editor for Minnesota Law Review, a judicial extern for Judge John Scherer of the Seventh Judicial District in St. Cloud, and a judicial extern for Judge Tony N. Leung with the United States District Court in St. Paul. He will practice out of the firm’s St. Cloud office.
