Kansas City, MO. (January 31, 2018) – Lathrop Gage Managing Partner Cameron Garrison signed a pledge supporting the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion coalition. Launched in June 2017, the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion coalition is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

“Lathrop Gage has had a long-standing commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace and we are honored to be among the first 20 law firms to sign the CEO Action pledge,” said Garrison. “My goal is to make Lathrop Gage a leader in advancing diversity and inclusion and a model for the legal industry.”

By signing the commitment, CEOs are pledging to “take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected, where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion, and where best practices -- as well as unsuccessful ones -- can be shared across organizations via a unified hub,, in an effort to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.” Garrison is one of 350 CEOs from 85 industries to sign the CEO pledge.

“We spend the majority of our time in the workplace, and it should be where this dialogue begins,” said Garrison. “We actively encourage and foster a workplace culture that is respectful of all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation or gender identification.”
