Lathrop Gage Promotes Six to Partner

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Feb. 1, 2016) – Lathrop Gage recently promoted six of its attorneys to Partner status, effective at the beginning of 2016. The newly elected partners are Mike Adrian, Michael McKinley, Luke Meriwether, Butch Miller, Connie Reiniger and Andrew Wilkins.

Mike Adrian (Corporate - St. Louis): Adrian is a corporate attorney who regularly counsels clients in highly regulated industries like health care and gaming. He concentrates his practice on transactional matters and corporate governance issues, and he has experience serving clients ranging from start-ups to publicly held companies.

Michael McKinley (Real Estate - Kansas City): McKinley is an experienced real estate attorney who manages a variety of business matters. He primarily focuses on the areas of 21st century technology development and real estate development, including tax increment financing, tax abatement, special taxing districts, tax credits and other development incentives.

Luke Meriwether (Intellectual Property - Kansas City): Meriwether’s intellectual property experience spans the U.S., having recently handled matters from California to Virginia. He litigates patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, false advertising and unfair competition cases in some of the leading intellectual property litigation venues in the country.

Butch Miller (Real Estate/Corporate - St. Louis & Chicago): Miller has a variety of knowledge and experience across industries. He counsels developers, purchasers, landlords, tenants, and sellers in the acquisition, development, construction, and financing of real estate. In addition to his real estate practice, he regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions and general business matters across the country.

Connie Reiniger (Real Estate - St. Louis): Reiniger focuses on real estate and commercial transactions that utilize federal and state tax incentive programs, including low-income housing credits, new markets tax credits, and historic rehabilitation tax credits.

Andrew Wilkins, Ph.D. (Intellectual Property – Boston): Dr. Wilkins’ intellectual property practice focuses on biotechnology and life sciences. As a member of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Wilkins drafts and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications, performs freedom to operate analyses, and drafts non-infringement and invalidity opinions for clients.
