Kate Tompkins Joins Lathrop Gage’s Business Development Team
BOSTON (May 15, 2015) – Lathrop Gage is pleased to announce Kate Tompkins, a seasoned legal marketing professional, has joined the firm’s Boston office as a Business Development Manager for the firm’s Intellectual Property Division.
“Kate is an experienced business development professional with deep roots in Boston,” said Giulio DeConti, Partner in charge at Lathrop Gage’s Boston office. “Her legal experience and industry knowledge in life sciences and intellectual property will help the firm grow and strengthen its client relationships across the IP division. We are excited to welcome her to the team.”
Tompkins is responsible for implementing a targeted strategy for business development and new client relationship initiatives, working with each IP team in the division. Previously, Tompkins served as Strategic Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager at Ropes & Gray where, in addition to her business and client relationship development responsibilities, she also managed the firm’s alumni and charitable giving programs. Previously, she has held business development roles with Nixon Peabody, Latham & Watkins and Day Pitney.
Tompkins is a member of the Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO), a national membership group for client relationship and business development professionals and she also holds a white belt in Legal Lean Sigma and Project Management.
