Lathrop Gage Adds Five Attorneys in Four Offices

KANSAS CITY, Mo (Oct. 7, 2014) – Lathrop Gage LLP announced today that five attorneys have joined the firm including Judith Stone-Hulslander, Ph.D and associates Patricia Lehtinen Silva, Elizabeth A. Duff, David R. Green and J. Taylor White. 

Judith Stone-Hulslander, Ph.D joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as of counsel in Boston. She focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution in the areas of biotechnology, biochemistry and chemistry. Dr. Stone-Hulslander has extensive research experience in virology, molecular biology, cell biology and protein biology. She obtained a Ph.D from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a juris doctor from Suffolk University School of Law. 

Patricia Lehtinen Silva joins Lathrop Gage’s environmental practice in St. Louis. She represents clients in administrative negotiations with federal and state agencies, advising clients regarding their regulatory requirements and assisting with litigation of environmental claims. Silva also advises clients on compliance and permitting under federal environmental laws and regulations. She obtained a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. 

Elizabeth A. Duff joins the labor and employment department in Kansas City, Missouri. She represents employers in connection with labor and employment issues, including defending discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment lawsuits; handling charges of discrimination and other administrative claims; representing management in labor arbitrations and other proceedings; and drafting employment handbooks, policies and agreements. She obtained a juris doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. 

David R. Green joins the firm’s business litigation department in Kansas City, Missouri. He concentrates his practice on representing clients in litigated and non-litigated business-to-business disputes such as breach of contract matters, loan enforcement actions, insurance disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes and products liability suits. Green obtained a juris doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law.

J. Taylor White joins the firm’s banking and creditors’ rights litigation practice in Springfield, Missouri. He focuses his practice on the areas of commercial, banking and real estate litigation, loan enforcement, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, title disputes and mechanic’s liens. White obtained a juris doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
