KANSAS CITY (November 1, 2022) — Lathrop GPM is proud to announce that the firm has been named a Top Performer and Compass Award winner by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). These awards recognize law firms and corporations showing a strong commitment to building more diverse organizations and a more inclusive legal profession.

The Top Performer award recognizes those organizations in the top 20 percent for participation in LCLD programs and activities.

The Compass Award recognizes those individuals and organizations that fulfill all of the following requirements in a single calendar year:

  • Member attendance at the LCLD Annual Membership Meeting and/or Member attendance at a Leadership Summit and/or submission of a Leader’s Pledge.
  • Participation in the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinder Programs.
  • Participation in an LCLD Pipeline program (the 1L Scholars program or the Success in Law School Mentoring Program).

Lathrop GPM Managing Partner Cameron Garrison created a public pledge detailing the actions he and the organization will take to advance diverse talent in the firm. Garrison’s personal and corporate pledge includes his commitment to ensuring that his words and actions make clear to everyone in Lathrop GPM “that diversity, equity and inclusion is a personal and unwavering priority;” that DE&I “will regularly be discussed at their quarterly partner, all attorney, and town hall meetings;” and that he is “personally committed to ensuring that diverse professionals are provided leadership opportunities within Lathrop GPM.”
