2018 Mooty Award Recipients Recognized for Commitment to Excellence, Service
MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 25, 2018) – Ryan Palmer, Laurie Lampman, and Michelle Rice were recognized today as recipients of the Gray Plant Mooty 2018 Mooty Award.
Named after John Mooty, the Mooty Award was established in 2005 to publicly recognize members of the law firm who have both excelled in business development and client service while going the extra mile for clients and coworkers. The awardees are peer-nominated and selected by the award’s committee. Past recipients of the award include administrative staff, attorneys, legal administrative assistants, and paralegals from all of the firm’s locations.

Ryan Palmer is a principal attorney in the Franchise and Distribution Practice Group, serving clients across the restaurant, hospitality, retail, and service sectors. Ryan’s multi-faceted experience includes representing clients in refranchising and franchise finance transactions as well as in the sale and acquisition of franchised brands. He joined the firm in 2016.
Laurie Lampman is a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Trust, Estate, and Charitable Planning Practice Group and has been with the firm since 2014. Lampman’s proactive and meticulous approach to business development has helped drive significant growth, and clients recognize her for her dedication to personal service.
Michelle Rice is a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Franchise & Distribution Practice Group. The ownership Michelle takes in delivering quality work both internally and client-facing makes her a key contributor among her practice group and an ambassador for the firm. Michelle has been at the firm since 1992.
