Lathrop GPM Partner Brian C. Trinque, Ph.D. named a Go To IP attorney by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

BOSTON (September 2021) — Lathrop GPM is proud to announce that Partner Brian C. Trinque has been named a Go To Intellectual Property Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Massachusetts Go To Lawyers debuted in 2020 as an effort to showcases leaders in the Massachusetts legal community by practice area.

Trinque is Partner in charge of Lathrop GPM’s Boston office and head of the firm’s Chemical and Pharmaceutical Patent Prosecution Practice. He is also a member of Lathrop GPM’s Executive Committee. He supports many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies on strategies to safeguard its innovations by securing patents, analyzing portfolios, and managing issues relating to infringement, patent validity, freedom to operate, and clearance analysis.

Trinque holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, and serves as intellectual property counsel to many industry-leading, pharmaceutical companies. He assists them in providing IP strategy and portfolio management support on validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and managing worldwide intellectual property rights. He has particular expertise in the area of IP protection for small-molecule development.
