Lathrop GPM Adds Business Transactions Associate Andrew Potter to Kansas City Office
KANSAS CITY (June 29, 2021) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Associate Andrew Potter to the firm’s Kansas City office. Potter joins the Business Transactions Practice Group.
Potter assists clients in entity formation, corporate governance, corporate restructuring and M&A deals. Potter has experience negotiating customer contracts for clients across multiple industries, from transportation to sporting event management to advertising.
Prior to joining the firm, Andrew served as In-House Counsel for a freight-shipping company, where he focused on assisting a newly formed subsidiary specializing in transportation brokerage to create and implement policies and procedures relating to customer and carrier relationships. He counseled on various additional legal matters, like employee investigations and termination matters.
Potter earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, he held internships with the Narcotics and Violent Crimes Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and a global software company. Potter earned his B.A. from Brigham Young University.
