Two Attorneys Join Lathrop Gage LLP


KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 19, 2012) – Anna McNew and Andrew Ricke have joined Lathrop Gage LLP as an associate and staff attorney, respectively, the firm has announced. McNew will join the corporate department of the firm’s Denver office and Ricke will join the tort department in the Overland Park office.

McNew will concentrate her practice in oil and gas where she has experience managing land record information and maintaining all aspects of oil and gas leases and other land contracts. She also has experience with oil and gas industry contracts including Farmout Agreements, Joint Operating Agreements and leases; and has extensive knowledge of working on Indian lands, having previously managed a reservation’s oil and gas activities for five years. She previously served as the vice president of the Four Corners Association of Professional Landmen. Prior to joining Lathrop Gage, she was a petroleum land manager for Dugan Production Corp. McNew received her bachelor of science in political science from the University of Wyoming and her juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law.

Ricke will primarily focus his practice with Lathrop Gage in Federal Employer’s Liability Act (FELA) personal injury defense, representing transportation clients. Ricke brings experience in personal injury litigation, insurance defense and subrogation litigation to the firm. He has experience in all phases of litigation from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives, from initial dispute handling up to actual trial. Prior to joining the firm Ricke was an associate at Harris McCausland, P.C. He received his bachelor of general studies in political science and sociology from the University of Kansas and his juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law where he received the Payne & Jones Lawyering Award for excellence in legal research and writing.
