Three Attorneys Join Lathrop Gage as Associates

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 1, 2011) – Lathrop Gage announced today that Alex Aguilera, Janelle Williams and Amanda Yoder have joined the firm in its Kansas City office as associates.  

Aguilera will join the firm’s business litigation department, focusing his practice on insurance. He received a bachelor of arts in political science with a minor in business administration from Wichita State University in 2008, and his juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2011. In addition to serving as a summer associate at Lathrop Gage, Aguilera has volunteered for Kansas Legal Services, has been the president of the Hispanic American Law Student Association, and was note and comment editor of the Kansas Law Review.

Williams will concentrate her practice on labor and employment law. She received her bachelor of science in biochemistry from Baylor University in 2004, and her juris doctorate in 2011 from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Williams previously worked as a summer associate at Lathrop Gage, and was a forensic scientist for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Yoder will join the firm’s corporate department. She received her bachelor of science in business administration in 2006, a master of business administration in 2007 from the University of Missouri, and in 2011 she received her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Law. Yoder was a summer associate for Lathrop Gage. Additionally, she has worked as an instructor of finance at the University of Missouri, a law clerk for Smith Lewis, LLP in Columbia, Mo., and was note and comment editor of the Missouri Law Review.
