Lathrop Gage’s Sarah Govea Transitions from Paralegal to Associate

Lathrop Gage is pleased to announce one of its firm family members recently made the transition from Paralegal to Associate within the firm. Sarah Govea of the Denver office is a member of the firm’s Energy team and her practice primarily focuses on the preparation, drafting and review of oil and gas title opinions for mineral interests. She also worked with the firm’s Energy department when she was in the paralegal role.

Prior to joining Lathrop Gage, Govea worked as an In-House Legal Extern for a Denver-based boutique energy law firm where she assisted a legal team and contract manager with various tasks including contract review, drafting and approval, legal research, handling corporate governance concerns, data tracking, compliance monitoring and more. Mainly, Sarah worked with NDAs, master service agreements, vendor agreements, data privacy agreements and international legal compliance.

Govea received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, 2018, where she earned a Certificate of Corporate and Commercial Law and focused on Energy and Natural Resources law. Prior to law school, Govea worked for two Denver-based law firms as a Legal Assistant and Law Clerk. Govea received her B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University, 2014.
