Kansas City Business Journal: Lathrop Finds it Prime Time to Start New Practice Group

Lathrop Gage is the latest law firm to generate a legal practice group in response to the subprime mortgage crash and credit market difficulties.

The law firm’s credit markets and subprime practice group has been in action for clients during the past couple of weeks. Planning for the move began in July.

“Really, we’ve seen a significant change in the financial markets over the past year that has been creating issues for a lot of our different clients in a lot of different ways,” said Brian Fries, chairman of the firm’s litigation division. Read more ...
