Lisa Kirby, Chief Intelligence & Knowledge Sharing Officer at Diversity Lab, will discuss how the Mansfield Rule initiative is helping law firms to increase their recruitment and retention of diverse attorneys. Lisa will also share insights into the history and evolution of the relationship between law firms and legal departments and how it has impacted diversity in the legal profession. Immediately following her presentation, Lisa will participate in a panel discussion with Lathrop GPM partner Justin Sallis, Vanessa Sims (Senior Vice President, Executive Director – Inclusion and Diversity at UMB Financial Corporation), and Stephanie Grise (Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at U.S. Bank) on practical ways to implement DE&I initiatives at your company. Supreme Court Highlights from the COVID-19 Term (2019-2020)
We are fortunate to have Professor Erwin Chemerinsky share his insight into some of the most notable Supreme Court cases from the historic 2019-2020 term. Professor Chemerinsky is Dean and Jesse H. Choper Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He frequently argues appellate cases, including in the United States Supreme Court. Professor Chemerinsky is the author of 12 books and over 200 law review articles.
