Anabel Cassady is a trusted advisor to employers, helping them navigate the full spectrum of workplace challenges, from day-to-day employment issues to high-stakes employment litigation.

Anabel counsels employers on a broad range of employment matters, including hiring, performance management, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and terminations, and regularly conducts investigations for both corporate clients and higher education institutions. As a skilled litigator, Anabel represents clients in all areas of employment litigation, including in actions alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, wage and hour claims, and contract disputes.

In addition to her commercial practice, Anabel maintains an active pro bono commitment, including representing foster care youth in CHIPS proceedings and habeas corpus petitioners in federal court.

Before joining Lathrop GPM, Anabel was an associate at a national law firm, where she spent over six years counseling and representing employers in an array of employment matters.

Prior to law school, Anabel served as the Operations and Human Resources Director for a clean energy policy consultancy in San Francisco. That firsthand management experience informs her pragmatic approach to employment law and allows her to connect with clients on both a legal and operational level.
