Minneapolis, MN (July 6, 2026)—Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Anabel Cassady has joined the firm as Counsel in the Labor, Employment and Higher Education Group in the Minneapolis office. Cassady brings broad experience representing employers in complex employment litigation and advising clients across a wide range of industries on workplace law matters.

Cassady counsels employers of all sizes on hiring practices, discipline and discharge, internal investigations, reasonable accommodations, worker classifications and wage and hour compliance. Her advisory work extends to evolving areas of employment law, including pay transparency laws, non-compete restrictions, and compliance with federal and state leave requirements. She also delivers training programs for managers and human resources professionals on harassment prevention and workplace best practices.

In addition to her counseling work, Cassady represents clients in employment litigation in state and federal courts across Minnesota and the country. Her litigation experience includes claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes and breach of contract.

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Cassady was an associate in the labor and employment group of a national law firm, where she spent more than six years representing employers in complex litigation and counseling matters. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James B. Florey of the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Prior to law school, she served as the operations and human resources director for a clean energy policy consultancy, experience that informs her of the practical challenges employers face.

Cassady earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Senior Articles Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. She also holds a B.A. in Politics from the University of San Francisco, graduating summa cum laude.
