Rhett Buchmiller is an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, judgment enforcement, and bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
Rhett represents financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, receivers, trustees, and both sellers and purchasers of distressed assets. His experience includes representing secured lenders in complex foreclosure proceedings involving significant commercial properties, including hospitality and healthcare facilities. He also assists clients with replevin actions, post-judgment collection and enforcement, and the protection and realization of collateral.
In bankruptcy matters, Rhett represents secured and unsecured creditors and other parties in interest in Chapter 11 and other insolvency proceedings. His work includes matters involving relief from the automatic stay, cash collateral, claim allowance and priority, plan treatment, asset sales, and the enforcement of creditors’ rights.
