Natalie Kay is an associate supporting clients throughout the firm’s Labor, Employment & Higher Education practice group. She joined Lathrop GPM as a summer associate in 2024 and has continued her work with the firm as a law clerk since November of that year, gaining hands-on experience conducting legal research and analysis on employment disputes and investigating Title IX matters. As a summer associate, she also worked directly with a client’s in-house legal team, assisting with contract editing, mediation preparation and legal research.

Natalie earned her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law, where she served as a Notes Editor for the Washington University Jurisprudence Review, was a teaching assistant for Corporations and taught an undergraduate course on Law, Gender, & Justice. She was a Scholar in Law Award recipient, an F. Hodge O’Neal Corporate Law Award recipient, and appeared on the Dean’s List for five consecutive semesters. While in law school, Natalie externed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Illinois, supporting criminal prosecutions involving violent crime, drug enforcement and public corruption. She also clerked at an AV-rated litigation firm, where she assisted in civil defense litigation.

Natalie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Social Justice and Women & Gender Studies. She earned a certificate in Multiculturalism and held leadership roles in local Phi Alpha Delta and Alpha Chi Omega chapters. Her undergraduate experience also included global service work in Costa Rica and teaching at Columbia Montessori School.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys traveling, hot yoga and sculpt classes, and reading historical fiction.
