Emily Neumann is an associate supporting clients primarily within the firm’s Labor, Employment & Higher Education practice group. Emily assists in advising employers of all sizes to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and defending claims of discrimination and retaliation. Emily joined the firm after working as a summer associate in 2023, where she conducted legal research and assisted attorneys on a myriad of employment and litigation matters.

Emily earned her J.D. from The University of Iowa College of Law, where she earned honors for her academic achievements, including the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Analysis, Writing & Research. While in law school, Emily served as a research assistant for Professor Ann Laquer Estin, and as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Sara Darrow in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. In these positions, she engaged in legal research, drafted legal memoranda and documents, and observed court proceedings, gaining valuable practical experience in the legal field.

Emily is passionate about public service and community, which is evident in her involvement in pro bono projects and her volunteer work with nonprofit and professional organizations throughout her legal career. Upon graduating from Iowa Law, Emily was recognized for her commitment to service with the Boyd Service Award.
