Alex Reed is an associate practicing in the Real Estate & Development Practice Group, with a focus on land use and zoning, economic development incentives, acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. In addition to his real estate practice, Alex counsels clients on legal issues throughout the life of a business, including entity formation and governance issues, all the way to mergers and acquisitions.

Alex has assisted clients with various property acquisition and development issues, including the formation and governance of Community Improvement Districts, Transportation Development Districts, negotiating development incentives with local municipalities and agencies, and with all aspects of land use planning. Alex also has experience with contract drafting and negotiations, conducting the due diligence process, pre-transaction restructuring and drafting a wide range of ancillary documentation.

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Alex was a corporate accountant for a large multi-national company in Wichita, Kansas, giving him a deep understanding of a company’s internal business operations. During law school, Alex was an active participant and continues to be active in the Transactional Law program, and he was awarded the Robert E. Edmonds Award in Corporation & Securities Law.
