I value the significance of collaborating with clients to deliver strategic legal guidance that aligns with their business objectives. By gaining insight into each client’s unique challenges and goals, I have become a trusted adviser to whom clients can confidently turn for counsel on diverse issues. One client said, “Jehan is very helpful and responsive, navigating things at the CEO level and bringing in other resources, like tax. It doesn’t matter what I ask, Jehan always has the answers and resources and has gotten us the right people.”

As a business disputes and employment litigation attorney, Jehan Moore collaborates with clients across various industries to deliver responsive, strategic, efficient and high-quality legal advice. She represents businesses in both litigated and non-litigated disputes. Jehan maintains that a successful legal practice hinges on a steadfast commitment to responsiveness, thoroughness and clear communication.

Among the many issues she helps clients to resolve are:

  • Breach of contract disputes
  • Business torts
  • Discrimination and retaliation claims
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations
  • Lender liability
  • Loan enforcement
  • Non-compete agreement enforcement
  • Trade secret litigation
  • Wage disputes
  • Wrongful discharge

With strong skills in motion practice, taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements and managing all aspects of discovery, Jehan effectively navigates complex legal challenges early on, always striving for the best and most efficient resolution for clients.

Beyond litigation, Jehan advises employers on developing effective personnel policies and practices, ensuring they have the tools to minimize risk and foster a compliant workplace environment.

Jehan is co-chair of the Lathrop GPM Culture, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, for which Missouri Lawyers Media recognized her as a Diversity & Inclusion honoree in 2020. She helped create and is a past chair of the firm’s Diverse Professionals Network, as well as a past co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network. She mentors and aids in the recruitment of diverse attorneys to the firm. Jehan’s advocacy efforts continue outside the firm. She is a Jackson County Bar Association member and an active alumna of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows Program. Jehan is also a graduate of the 44th class of Kansas City Tomorrow’s leadership program and a past member of the University of Kansas School of Law’s Board of Governors.

When asked…

Why did you become a lawyer?

What do you do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love traveling, spending time with family and reading a good book.
