SAN JOSE, Ca. (May 13, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Gueverly Mendez as an associate in the firm’s Financial Services practice group in the San Jose office. Mendez represents businesses and organizations across a range of dispute-related and advisory matters, with experience in litigation and regulatory settings.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Mendez’s practice supports companies in navigating complex frameworks, ensuring seamless compliance and enhancing decision-making speed for business leaders.

Prior to joining the firm, Mendez practiced at a California law firm where she worked on matters involving real property disputes, employment-related issues, landlord-tenant matters and other civil disputes affecting both individuals and entities. She also brings valuable public sector and nonprofit experience to her practice, having previously worked with the Marin County District Attorney’s Office, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and a nonprofit immigration organization. Additionally, Mendez served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Evette D. Pennypacker, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of judicial reasoning and procedural practice.

Mendez served as a summer clerk at the firm in 2022. She earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University.
