MINNEAPOLIS (February 2, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Jennifer L. M. Jacobs has joined the firm as Counsel in the Labor & Employment practice group. Jacobs brings wide‑ranging experience advising employers on the full spectrum of workplace law issues and strengthens the firm’s ability to guide clients through complex, evolving employment challenges.
Jacobs counsels employers on disability accommodations, leave management, employee discipline and terminations, wage and hour compliance, and day‑to‑day operational matters. She also conducts sensitive internal investigations and regularly advises human resources professionals and business leadership on risk management and best practices.
In addition to her advisory work, Jacobs represents clients in administrative proceedings and employment litigation in both state and federal courts. Her litigation experience spans claims involving discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants, and breach of contract.
Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Jacobs practiced at another Minneapolis firm and completed a secondment as Employment Counsel at Thomson Reuters, where she advised business leaders on employee relations matters and organizational change initiatives. Earlier in her career, she clerked for the Honorable James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Jacobs earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Note and Comment Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. She has also taught appellate advocacy as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
