Christopher W. Harmoning

Chris Harmoning concentrates his practice in general civil litigation. He represents businesses and individuals in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals on a number of different legal issues, including contracts, construction projects, mechanic's liens, mortgage foreclosures, real estate matters, receiverships, and shareholder disputes in both state and federal courts.

Chris has been with the firm since 1999 and is a partner.

Representative Experience

  • Represented lenders in state-court proceedings that involved appointment of receivers for hotel and restaurant properties, multi-family housing, poultry facilities, and biomass fueled power plant
  • Represented court-appointed trustee in post-trial supervision of more than 2,500 acres of farmland
  • Hupperts v. Apogee Retail, LLC, No. 12-CV-915 (D. Minn. 2014) (represented national thrift-store retailer in federal class-action lawsuit)
  • Fieseler Masonry, Inc. vs. City of Mabel, No. A14-0246 (Minn. Ct. App. Sept. 8, 2014) (represented general contractor and municipality related to construction of community center)
  • In re Cities of Annandale and Maple Lake NPDES/SDS Permit Issuance for Discharge of Treated Wastewater, 702 N.W.2d 768 (Minn. Ct. App. 2005), rev'd, 731 N.W.2d 502 (Minn. 2007) (represented cities in challenge against issuance of discharge permit for operation of wastewater treatment facility)
