Nancy Musick is an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office and member of the firm’s Health & Nonprofit Organizations practice group.

Nancy works exclusively with health care providers and organizations providing counsel on regulatory and compliance matters. She has experience handling issues surrounding Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, state administrative agency issues, HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid compliance.

Nancy has experience representing clients at evidentiary hearings before administrative departments such as the Kansas Department for Children and Families, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

In addition to representing clients on health care matters, Nancy has assisted on matters related to noncompete agreements, commercial real estate, property disputes and other complex litigation.

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Nancy earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, where she served as Editor in Chief of the Kansas Law Review. After graduating law school, she honed her legal acumen as a law clerk for the Honorable Daniel D. Crabtree in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. This experience exposed her to the complexities of civil litigation and instilled in her a keen analytical mind and a commitment to thorough legal research.

When not advocating for her clients, Nancy enjoys sharing her knowledge as an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas School of Law. She is also a proud member of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City and the Kansas Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
