Jacob Heck is an associate attorney focusing his practice on business transactions. He supports clients on an array of corporate matters, working with clients of all sizes, from startup companies to multinational enterprises.

Prior to attending law school, Jacob served as a Project Manager and Engineer at a Minnesota-based construction company, where he was responsible for executing commercial contracts, managing multimillion-dollar projects and advising clients on the risks and benefits of different project strategies. 

As a former St. Olaf College Men’s hockey player, Jacob is a self-starting and creative leader who focuses on the details and developing lasting relationships. He believes curiosity and adaptability are choices and brings this approach to all matters.

In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing, pickleball and traveling.

  • Assisted with the representation of a global tool manufacturer in the sale of 100% of its equity via a stock purchase agreement in the aggregate amount of $180 million.
  • Assisted with the representation of a regional optometry clinic in the sale of substantially all its assets via an asset purchase agreement in aggregate amount of $15.8 million
  • Assisted with the representation of a national advertising company in its partial sale equity to a private equity firm with an aggregate transaction value of $160 million.
  • Assisted with the representation of a funeral home in the sale of substantially all its assets in the aggregate amount of $1.1 million.
  • Assisted with the representation of a national manufacturer in the sale of 100% of its equity via an equity purchase agreement in the aggregate amount of $5.6 million.
  • Assisted with the representation of a HVAC company in the sale of 100% of its equity via an equity purchase agreement in the aggregate amount of $6 million.

Securities & Corporate Finance

  • Assisted with the representation of a regional farm equipment supplier in obtaining a $21 million revolving credit facility.
  • Assisted with the representation of a national egg farmer in its acquisition and refinancing with an aggregate transaction value of ~$600 million.
