Erika Mortensen is an associate supporting clients primarily within the firm’s Financial Services practice group. Erika previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable William J. Fisher at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota, where she reviewed filings for compliance with the Bankruptcy Code and the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, conducted legal research and drafted legal opinions.

Erika earned her J.D. at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Erika honed her legal research skills as a research assistant, conducting extensive research on legal topics related to Federal Indian Law. Erika also served as a certified student attorney, working with a St. Paul-area attorney in private practice. 

Prior to her legal career, Erika spent ten years as a tax manager working for two major business management consultancies, making her especially adept to provide legal advisement on financial matters. Erika received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.

When she is not working, Erika enjoys reading, running and traveling to new places.
