Cindy Hefferan is a paralegal and member of the intellectual property and technology practice area. Cindy assists the firm’s clients and attorneys with the filing, prosecution, and maintenance of domestic and foreign trademark matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Cindy spent nine years as a paralegal at an intellectual property boutique firm. She worked with all aspects of trademark prosecution, including the docketing of all trademark matters and the management of extensive trademark portfolios for large and small clients.

Cindy has experience working with trademark oppositions and cancellations through the U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board and in handling foreign oppositions. She was responsible for the policing of clients’ trademarks to guard against potential infringements and also reviewed products, advertising, and packaging to ensure proper use of clients’ trademarks. Cindy has prepared numerous status summary reports for attorneys and clients regarding clients’ trademark portfolios.

Previous to working in intellectual property, Cindy spent 20 years working with law firms in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice, and personal injury.
