Associate Gillian Wener Joins Lathrop GPM Environmental & Tort Practice Group
BOSTON (October 09, 2023) – Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome associate Gillian Wener to the firm’s Boston office and Tort, Insurance & Environmental Practice Group. Wener focuses her practice on environmental law and related regulatory matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Wener served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture (ENRA) Division of the Michigan Department of Attorney General. In that role, she handled a diverse caseload of complex civil enforcement and regulatory matters, including representing the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) before federal courts, state courts, and administrative tribunals. She also handled matters related to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, environmental health, and rulemaking.

Wener’s background also includes prior roles in regulatory and environmental consulting. She holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Wener is currently licensed in Michigan and her admission to the Massachusetts bar is pending.
