(August 2022) – Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Counsel Diane Padilla and Associate Ellen Rudolph to the firm’s Labor, Employment & Higher Education Practice Group. Padilla is based in Chicago and Rudolph in Kansas City.
Padilla focuses her practice on advising and training higher education institutions on Title IX and other regulatory and compliance matters. Through trainED, Padilla provides training and conducts compliance reviews and audits for companies and higher education institutions. Prior to joining the firm, she was Director of Equity & Title IX at Wheaton College, where she developed and directed equity strategy, policies and training. Padilla earned her J.D. from DePaul University: College of Law and her B.A. from Loyola University.
Rudolph has extensive litigation experience defending businesses, universities, school districts, and in state and federal court against claims of discrimination (including age, gender, race, disability and whistleblower under Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, KAAD, MHRA), retaliation, negligence, negligent supervision, Title IX and other civil rights violations. She earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law and her B.S.B.A. from the University of Arkansas, Sam M. Walton College of Business.
