March 4, 2021 – In its March 2021 issue, the National Law Journal named Lathrop GPM Los Angeles office Partner in Charge Nancy Sher Cohen an Insurance Law Trailblazer, identified as an “agent of change” in her field.

Cohen is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and a member of the Insurance Recovery & Counseling Practice Group. A litigator, Cohen’s 40-plus years’ experience includes serving as lead counsel in several significant insurance coverage matters on behalf of high-profile clients nationwide, resulting in recoveries in excess of $1.5 billion.

Since the economic fallout resulting from the widespread COVID-19 pandemic, Cohen has devoted a significant portion of her time advising client companies — and the nonprofits with whom she serves — seeking insurance relief due to coronavirus-related business interruptions. The National Law Journal recognized Cohen for her “never say die” attitude that has helped keep hope alive for many clients and nonprofit allies navigating unprecedented loss.

Cohen also serves in many leadership capacities within the legal and local community, including as a Board Member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, as an American College of Coverage Counsel Fellow, a Litigation Counsel of America Senior Fellow and as a member of Loyola Law School’s Board of Overseers. In addition, Cohen is a longtime, active supporter and volunteer for Bet Tzedek Legal Services, previously serving as its President and now as a member of its President’s Council, and is a member and volunteer on behalf of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
