KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 22, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that attorney Lane Adams has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice group as an associate.

Adams focuses his practice on complex patent litigation and has experience representing clients in district court litigation and parallel proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He has worked on matters involving technologies spanning the telecommunications, industrial, network security, and gaming industries.

Prior to entering private practice, Adams worked as a research technician in the Genome Engineering team at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, where he collaborated on molecular biology research initiatives and laboratory protocol development. His background in biochemistry provides a strong foundation for understanding scientific and technical issues at the heart of patent disputes.

Adams earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and his B.S. in Biochemistry cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
