MINNEAPOLIS (August 5, 2024) — Lathrop GPM is proud to announce that Partner Julia Reiland has been included among Corporate Counsel’s Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards for 2024. This distinction is bestowed on in-house and law firm women leaders and allies who have demonstrated commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law. Honorees will be recognized at an awards dinner on September 24 as part of the Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference in Chicago.

Each year, Corporate Counsel magazine recognizes women for exceptional legal skill and leadership across various categories. Julia was honored in the “collaborative leadership” category, which is awarded to honorees who stand out as working well with external and internal stakeholders – the “team players.”

“I’m so pleased to see Julia recognized in the Collaborative Leaders category of the 2024 WIPL Awards,” said Jennifer Reedstrom Bishop, Lathrop GPM’s Health Law practice group leader. “Julia is one of those lawyers that just ‘gets it’ – she understands that practicing law is a team sport and knows how to manage up and down – all to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service and practical advice that move their business forward. She is valued by clients as a key member of their team, and we could not value Julia and her role more within our practice group and firm. Julia is a wonderful embodiment of her and the firm’s commitment to fostering a collaborative environment where teamwork and shared goals drive success.”

As a former mental health practitioner, Reiland provides a unique combination of legal and practical experience in the health care field. She advises health care organizations on complex business transactions and strategic partnerships, informed by her significant experience in joint ventures, affiliations, antitrust, governance, and contracting matters.

Julia is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. She also is a firm leader, serving as Chair of the Recruiting Committee and as a member of the firm’s Culture, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Women, Influence & Power Awards honorees are selected by a panel of industry experts, including corporate secretaries, general counsel and business executives.
