Minneapolis, MN (October 10, 2024) — Lathrop GPM LLP is pleased to announce that Brian Dillon, Partner in Charge of the Minneapolis office, has been elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) as a Fellow.
Established in 1949, ACTEC is a national association of lawyers and law professors who have been nominated and elected by their peers for developing a strong professional reputation in the trust and estate field. ACTEC and its peer-elected Fellows aim to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, as well as procedures and professional practice standards in this area.
To qualify as an ACTEC Fellow, lawyers must be nominated by other ACTEC Fellows from outside of their own law firm and pass a rigorous review by state and national membership selection committees. Nominees must have at least 10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a high level of performance in the field, as well as a dedication to community enrichment through teaching, writing and speaking.
Dillon is an experienced litigator who focuses in trusts and estates litigation. He represents professional fiduciaries, individuals, families and other interested parties involved in disputes over the validity or interpretation of wills, trusts and other testamentary vehicles, as well as contested matters involving guardianships, conservatorships and the rights of vulnerable adults.
