MINNEAPOLIS (October 3, 2023) – Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce the firm’s Minneapolis office has officially opened its doors to a new office space within the IDS Center. The firm now occupies space on the 30th and 31st floors of the IDS Center, an address the firm has occupied since 2003.
This is the second of Lathrop GPM’s offices to be redesigned to support the firm’s new hybrid work model, which gives attorneys the flexibility to split time working at home or in the office. In designing the new Minneapolis space, the firm took a collaborative approach, inviting attorneys and administrative staff to provide input on the needs, design, and overall feel of the new space, to ensure it supports the kind of flexibility, collaboration, and public/private workspace needed for the firm to continue delivering the sophisticated client service for which it is known.
“I’m thrilled to be in the new space. Seeing the feedback from our attorneys and staff come to life in such an innovative and functional way is really inspiring,” said Brian Dillon, Partner in Charge of the Lathrop GPM Minneapolis office. “The new space will not only benefit our employees, but it will also enhance our ability to collaborate with clients. Minneapolis has always been a hub of firmwide activity, and our 10-year lease in the new space reaffirms our commitment to downtown Minneapolis and the broader Twin Cities community.”
Specific features of the new space include rooms with modular tables and chairs to configure to the exact size and purpose of any meeting, more common spaces and a café for enhanced collaboration, and multiple, flexible office layouts to support the needs of employees who work in the office full-time as well as those who come in fewer days per week or are visiting from another office.
“Minneapolis is one of our two largest offices, home to numerous firm leaders, and remains a key growth market for the firm,” said Cameron Garrison, Managing Partner at Lathrop GPM. “This move is another exciting chapter in our already long history and investment in the Twin Cities and I look forward to seeing the advantages this new space will bring the office and clients in the market.”
Since January 2023, the firm has added 9 attorneys and 12 staff to its Minneapolis office, currently totaling 81 attorneys and 76 business professionals. Additionally, two of the three the newly appointed Executive Committee members are based in Minnesota: Liz Dillon and Ryan Gerads. The firm’s Minneapolis roots date back to 1866.
