Lathrop GPM Partner Jen Johnson, head of the firm’s national real estate practice, was recently featured in a Connect Money Q&A exploring how high-net-worth individuals and family offices are reshaping the commercial real estate landscape.
Johnson discussed the growing appeal of passive investment vehicles like NNN leases and Delaware Statutory Trusts, as well as the enduring relevance of office space in a hybrid work world. “We still need office space,” she noted, “but we may just need it in a different way and at a different frequency.”
She also emphasized the increasing collaboration between legal advisors and wealth managers to build integrated, multigenerational investment strategies.
