SAN JOSE, CA (January 6, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Clare Capaccioli Velasquez, Counsel in the firm’s Private Client Services practice group, was named Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Silicon Valley Bar Association (SVBA), effective January 1, 2026.

Capaccioli Velasquez has extensive experience in trust and estate litigation and has been a trusted advisor to clients in the Silicon Valley region for years. She represents beneficiaries, trustees, executors, professional fiduciaries and personal representatives in contested trust and probate matters. She has been recognized among The Best Lawyers in America and Northern California Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” for her trust and estate litigation work.

Capaccioli Velasquez is active in the legal community and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the California Lawyers Association (CLA), the San Mateo County Bar Association (SMCBA) and the SVBA, where she currently serves as the Education Chair of the Executive Committee.

As Chairperson, Capaccioli Velasquez oversees strategic initiatives, guides policy development and fosters collaboration among members to strengthen the association’s role in serving attorneys and the broader community.
