San Jose (June 4, 2025) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Clare Capaccioli Velasquez to the firm’s San Jose office and Private Client Services practice group.

Velasquez is a litigator with over a decade of experience focused on trust and estate matters. She represents beneficiaries, professional fiduciaries, trustees, executors and personal representatives in disputed litigation matters. Her practice focuses on trust and probate disputes, with experience in cases involving financial elder abuse, contested accounting, will and trust contests, capacity and undue influence issues, breach of fiduciary duties and trust asset recovery.

In addition to her trust and estate litigation work, Velasquez has represented clients in various general and complex litigation matters, including business and real estate disputes, mass tort claims and consumer rights cases. Velasquez is also a member of the Association of Women Lawyers and has been recognized by Northern California Super Lawyers as “Rising Star” for four consecutive years (2020-2024).

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Velasquez was a senior litigation attorney at a multi-service California law firm, where she focused on estate and trust litigation. Velasquez earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and received her B.A. in International Studies and Economics from the University of Southern California.
