Richard Dowell is an associate in the firm’s Business Transactions practice group supporting energy clients. Richard prepares drilling and division order title opinions and assists clients in all phases of oil and gas development.

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Richard worked at a boutique law firm in Denver where he got his start in the oil and gas industry. Richard also has experience with transactional matters, having worked on large-scale due-diligence projects for mergers and acquisitions and negotiated common service and technology agreements across multiple industries.

Richard earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2016 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in International Business from the University of Denver in 2013.

In his free time, Richard likes to hike, try new restaurants, play board games and go for long drives in the mountains.
