Lauren Atherton is an associate supporting clients across a range of complex litigation matters. Lauren joined the firm after working as a summer associate in 2023 and 2024, and as a law clerk during her final year of law school. During her time with the firm, she conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on diverse topics, prepared discovery requests and conducted document review for responses, and contributed to state surveys on property rights and anti-discrimination statutes.
Lauren earned her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law, where she served as a Primary Editor for the Washington University Global Studies Law Review. She was named to the Dean’s List three times and was a Scholar in Law recipient. While in law school, Lauren served as President of Sports for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and worked as a teaching assistant for the Intro to U.S. Law and Methods course. She also externed with Administrative Judge Amy Weinhaus at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she conducted legal research and drafted judicial decisions in employment discrimination cases. Further, Lauren was involved with the Washington University School of Law Wrongful Conviction Clinic, advocating on behalf of clients with credible claims of innocence and preparing them for parole hearings.
