Jean Jenkins represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, drawing on extensive experience handling cases from inception through trial and appeal.

Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Jean maintained a substantial civil litigation practice, managing complex matters involving significant liability and damages exposure. Her experience includes drafting and arguing dispositive motions, conducting and defending depositions of parties and experts, managing written discovery, coordinating with expert witnesses, and representing clients in mediations and settlement negotiations. Additionally, Jean previously served as a judicial law clerk in the Second Judicial District for the Honorable Robert L. McGahey, Jr., and the Honorable Christine C. Antoun. In that role she supported the court in hundreds of civil and domestic matters, conducting extensive legal research and drafting orders addressing complex procedural and substantive issues, including dispositive motions, emergency relief and post-trial matters.

While attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Jean worked as a legal extern and paralegal for the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center, where she assisted with civil rights litigation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Prior to law school, she worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, supporting complex financial fraud investigations and assisting with international extradition matters through the Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C.

Jean’s breadth of experience has taught her to be a flexible, tireless advocate for her clients.
