Gregory B. Kuhn Joins Lathrop Gage as Partner
Employee Benefits Specialist Contributes to Growth of Firm’s Business Division
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 1, 2009) – Joel Voran, CEO of Lathrop Gage LLP, is pleased to announce that Gregory B. Kuhn has joined the firm as a partner, effective today. A veteran in the field of employee benefits law, Mr. Kuhn’s practice includes all matters affecting pension, profit sharing, ESOP, 401(k), executive compensation and health and welfare benefit programs.

Mr. Kuhn has been included in Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers for each of the last three years, earning the distinction in both the ERISA and employee benefits categories. In recent years he has counseled clients on the topical issues that companies face with executive compensation and non-qualified deferred compensation plans, as well as all types of qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit pension plans, profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans and ESOPs.
A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, Mr. Kuhn is an active member of the Kansas and Missouri Bar Associations. Prior to practicing law he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Kansas. He has been a featured author in many trade publications dedicated to tax law and employee benefits, including Tax Management Compensation Planning Journal, Taxation for Lawyers, Taxation of Employee Benefits, Journal of Employee Ownership Law and Finance, and the Journal of Compensation and Benefits. He joins Lathrop Gage from Utz Miller Kuhn & Eickman, LLC in Overland Park, Kan., a firm that specializes in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
