Richard Landon Recognized as 2019 Up & Coming Attorney
MINNEAPOLIS (July 3, 2019) — Gray Plant Mooty attorney Richard Landon has been named a 2019 Up & Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer. Landon is one of 28 Minnesota-based attorneys named to the 2019 list.
The annual listing honors attorneys who have distinguished themselves during their first 10 years of practice. Selection for the Up & Coming Attorney recognition is based on professional accomplishments as well as leadership and service to the community. Minnesota Lawyer’s editorial staff selected the honorees based on nominations from law firms, legal associations, previous award recipients, and other members of the bar.
Landon is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Franchise and Distribution Practice Groups. He is a trial attorney and appellate specialist who advises and represents businesses resolving disputes in antitrust, distribution, and franchising, as well as shareholder disputes and other complex commercial litigation. In addition to litigation, Landon advises clients on antitrust issues in product distribution and franchising.

In addition to his regular practice, Landon devotes considerable effort to pro bono matters. One of the recent cases he has worked on is Cruz-Guzman v. State of Minnesota — a landmark school integration case that earned Attorneys of the Year Group recognition by Minnesota Lawyer in 2018. Landon is a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Network and the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
Landon and the other 2019 honorees will be recognized at a September 11, 2019 celebration at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis.
