Richard Braman, Carl Crosby Lehmann, and Kathryn Nash Named 2014 Attorneys of the Year
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (December 17, 2014) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that three Minneapolis-based lawyers, Richard Braman, Carl Crosby Lehmann, and Kathryn Nash, were recently selected as 2014 Attorneys of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer. Braman was named posthumously for his work with The Sedona Conference, and Lehmann and Nash were selected as a team for co-founding trainED, a legal compliance training program for higher education institutions and businesses.
Richard Braman passed on July 9, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. A member of the firm since 1987, Braman founded The Sedona Conference in 1997, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. The group’s work has earned Braman recognition in The American Lawyer as an “E-Discovery Trailblazer” and as one of 2013’s 50 greatest Big Law innovators of the last 50 years.
Co-founders of trainED, Carl Crosby Lehmann and Kathryn Nash regularly represent clients in the areas of employment law and higher education. They provide practical advice and preventative training to businesses and higher education institutions on a wide range of topics including harassment and nondiscrimination, ADA compliance, Title IX compliance, affirmative action, wage and hour, employee management, social media, student affairs, and faculty issues.
