Loren Hansen Joins Gray Plant Mooty

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (May 29, 2012) — The Minneapolis-based law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Loren L. Hansen has joined the firm as an associate with the Litigation practice group.

Hansen focuses his practice on patent infringement and antitrust litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of industries, including health insurance, television services, optical signal processing, and data storage. Hansen represented a large health insurance company in an antitrust lawsuit involving alleged price-fixing in the national market for prescription drug reimbursement under the federal Medicare Part D program. He also represented a digital storage & data security company in seeking declaratory judgment that it did not infringe nine patents by virtue of license and other defenses.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Hansen worked as a consultant with Accenture, Ltd., where he designed and developed custom software packages for multiple large, national health insurers. He is active in the community through his church and pro bono legal efforts, including successfully representing a client in immigration court, where he helped the client gain asylum in the United States.

Hansen received his J.D., cum laude, from the William Mitchell College of Law.
